Württemberg Railway Company
The Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft ("Württemberg Railway Company") or WEG is a transport company in southwest Germany that operates railway lines and services. It is 100% owned by Veolia Verkehr GmbH, the German company of the French-based Veolia Transport group.
Historically, WEG also operated bus services in the area of its rail services, and WEG branded buses still operate in these areas. However since 2008 these services have been operated by Omnibus-Verkehr Ruoff GmbH, another subsidiary of Veolia Verkehr GmbH.

Rail map of Baden-Wurttemberg? | Europe Forum | Fodor's Travel Talk Forums
Yesterday I saw that Russ had posted a site for the Bavarian rail map. I spent an hour or so trying to locate the B-W one. I was determined but failed. Please, Russ, or someone take pity on me and post the address so I can find it. Is there any possibility that the B-W day ticket goes to Strasbourg (like the Bavarian one goes to Salzburg?) I'm avoiding 'lander' since I still can't type an umlaut. Sorry. Thanks for all of your help! CJ Posted in the Europe forum

Green Baden-Württemberg - realindustrial
By any standards Baden-Württemberg is a succesful and prosperous state and includes the industrial conurbation of Stuttgart, home to companies like Mercedes and Bosch. A 2007 study found that Baden-Württemberg was "economically most successful and most dynamic state" among all sixteen German Länder. Notwithstanding that Baden-Württemberg is landlocked and unlikely to suffer from a Tsunami any time soon, in spring this year, on the back of near panic over nuclear power generation post the events in Fukushima, the Green Party won the state in regional elections. Given that over 40% of it's output is estimated to be exported and is...
