Prince Alfred of Edinburgh (1874–1899), hereditary Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He was the grandson of Queen Victoria and the russian Tsar Alexander II. Probably because his marriage was contrary to the House laws, he shot himself with a revolver at the age of 24. I am not sure about the two ladies? His sisters Alexandra and Beatrice? I hope someone can identify them. This is another picture from the photo album made by his sister Victoria Melita (Ducky)

Photos (clockwise from top left): Queen Maria of Yugoslavia; Queen Maria of Yugoslavia; Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna, Duchess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha; Queen Marie of Romania; Princess Beatrice, the Duchess of Galliera In the twentieth century, the Yugoslavian royal family depended on the Romanov heritage of Queen Maria ("Mignon") for much of their glitz and glamour. Just like yesterday's tiara, today's sparkler was originally from Russia.
